It has taken a while to get back to my studio this year after lock down.

The set back was me falling off my neighbours door step . She had just moved in and I went to welcome her. What a shock she must have had when I went diving off the stoop. I like to make a lasting impression.

This leap was followed by self administered physio, heat packs, pain killers and massage. l know what I'm doing, I go arse over tit a lot.

160 miles and more pain killers later, l have started painting. Pottery at home - painting in Yorkshire.

Inspired by the night view of Hartlepool from my studio window.

How did I get here?

It has been an interesting and sometimes a frightening road .

Now that I am in a happy and secure place l feel comfortable to start a blog.

Stange beginings

I was born Good Friday 1952, in a converted Fleet Air Arm radio location hut, on the edge of St.Merryn airdrome.

Times were hard, when were they not?

My parents were farmers and orders had to be filled. When I was only a few hours old, shortly after giving birth, my mother, still in bed, gutted and dressed half a dozen chickens for the local hotel!

How tough is that?
